What do we need?

We’re looking for a Senior Scrum Master who’s passionate about enabling high-performing, self-organized teams and driving agile excellence across complex product environments. You’ll play a key role in facilitating agile ceremonies, coaching teams, and ensuring smooth delivery of initiatives that power Awaed’s trading platform.

From removing impediments and improving team velocity to strengthening agile practices, transparency, and continuous improvement, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced fintech environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and leadership teams to align priorities, support predictable delivery, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

• 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach within complex, fast-paced product or engineering environments

• Strong hands-on experience with Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile frameworks, and scaling practices (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, or similar)

• Proven ability to facilitate all agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensure effective outcomes

• Strong experience coaching cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Design, Data) toward self-organization and continuous improvement

• Deep understanding of Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down/up, cycle time, lead time) and using data to drive team performance

• Excellent skills in impediment removal, dependency management, and risk mitigation across teams

• Strong stakeholder management and a servant leadership mindset, with the ability to influence without authority

• Experience working closely with Product Owners on backlog refinement, prioritization, and roadmap alignment

• Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar

• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, high-growth fintech or technology environments

• Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills

• Experience running retrospectives, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

What will you do?

• Agile & Process Leadership

  1. Act as the Agile coach for the team, reinforcing Scrum and Agile principles.

  2. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives).

  3. Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and predictability.

  4. Own sprint planning and backlog management in coordination with Product Owner and Team Leads.

• Delivery Management

  1. Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery impediments proactively.

  2. Take ownership of removing blockers that impact sprint progress.

  3. Ensure sprint commitments are realistic, visible, and tracked.

  4. Drive transparency through reporting, dashboards, and metrics.

• Stakeholder & Communication Management

  1. Own stakeholder communication, status reporting, and expectation management.

  2. Act as the primary interface between the team and external stakeholders.

  3. Ensure alignment between business priorities and delivery execution.

• Collaboration & Shared Responsibilities

  1. Share responsibility for team morale and engagement.

  2. Share responsibility for coaching soft skills (collaboration, communication, accountability).

  3. Be consulted on technical decisions to understand the impact on delivery and risks.

  4. Support the Team Lead on delivery coordination, without owning people management decisions
