What do we need?

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/Go) who’s excited about building scalable systems and solving complex engineering challenges.

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining core backend services that power Awaed’s trading platform. From optimizing performance and ensuring reliability to introducing new technologies and ideas, this is your opportunity to make an impact in a high-performance fintech environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Product, DevOps, and Data teams to deliver high-quality software that drives real business value — and helps shape the future of digital trading in the region.

What we're looking for?

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.

• Strong experience with Node.js and good working knowledge of Go (or strong willingness to work primarily in Go).

• Experience with microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.

• Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).

• Experience with cloud environments and containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes is a plus).

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience working in agile / fast-paced product environments

What you'll do?

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Go.

• Own system components end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, and production

• support.

• Participate in architecture decisions and technical design discussions.

• Improve system reliability, performance, and observability.

• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and contribute to code quality standards.

• Work closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features

Nice to have:

• Experience in fintech, trading platforms, or high-frequency systems.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

• Knowledge of low-latency system optimization.
